What time should my team arrive in the morning of the tournament?
Check in for registered teams is 7:00 a.m. All registered teams must be on site and have a check in at the scorer’s table by 7:00. Teams will then be able to purchase tournament paint and get their air fills. A players meeting will be held at 7:30 to review rules updates and important information regarding individual tournament adjustments. The tournament bracket is distributed at this meeting. This meeting is also a question and answer session where your rules and tournament questions are resolved. Play starts promptly at 8:00.
What equipment rules are most overlooked by the teams.
The rules that are often overlooked are:
- Clothing. Players must were long-sleeved shirts and long pants. Often we have players trying to walk onto the field is shorts and T-shirts. If the weathers is unseasonably hot, the HRL Tournament Director may waive this rule. This decision will be announced at the beginning of the competition.
- Barrel Blocking devices. This important safety equipment is now Mandatory at HRL events. Simple barrel plugs will no longer be sufficient.
What are the rules for the HRL?
The HRL uses modified NPPL Rules, check them out online in our rules section. You are expected to understand the rules before you play in a tournament. On the morning of each tournament there is a player’s meeting to go over field rules for the day and this provides an opportunity to have your rule questions answered.
